Why We Exist
Navig8 Tutors was created to address a real and growing need within the education space; learners who are capable, motivated, and full of potential, yet lack the personalised support required to truly succeed. We exist to bridge the gap between the classroom and the learner by providing clarity, structure, and encouragement where it is most needed.
Our work is driven by the belief that academic success is not reserved for a select few, but is achievable for every learner when the right guidance is provided. The Journey Behind Navig8 Tutors
The foundations of Navig8 Tutors were laid in 2019, when the organisation began operating under a different name. It was founded by a former medical student from the University of the Witwatersrand, whose passion for teaching and mentoring revealed a significant gap in accessible, high-quality academic support for learners.
What started as a commitment to help students understand complex concepts and improve their academic performance quickly grew into a structured tutoring service. Over the years, this support has gone on to help learners gain acceptance into demanding fields of study, including medicine, chartered accountancy, engineering across various disciplines, law, and education. Many of these students are currently pursuing their studies at tertiary institutions, building on the strong academic foundations developed through tutoring.
As the organisation’s impact and reach expanded, the vision matured. In 2025, it was formally registered as Navig8 Tutors, marking a new chapter of growth, accountability, and purpose. Based in Pretoria, Navig8 Tutors has since supported hundreds of learners and families across South Africa, helping students improve their results, gain confidence, and successfully transition into higher education.
Today, Navig8 Tutors continues to grow with a clear focus on long-term learner success, academic excellence, and meaningful educational impact.
